How to order a test

The ColonSentry can easily be ordered as a stand-alone test or in conjunction with other tests as part of a patient's comprehensive regular physical examination.   To order the ColonSentry test, you should follow these three simple steps:

(1)  Write in the ColonSentry test in the 'Other Tests' section of the OHIP laboratory requisition form and check the 'Third Party/Uninsured' box.

(2)   Refer patients to a medical laboratory offering phlebotomy services for the ColonSentry test.  Please click here for a list of medical laboratories accepting patients for the ColonSentry test. 

(3)  Assess the results.  Test results will be sent to the physician who has referred the test within five business days.
